Kids Yoga FAQs
Yes. Registration is required for every class. If you wish to attend, please book and pay in advance through our website to secure your spot.
To get the most out of your yoga practice, we recommend the following:
• Practice on an empty or light stomach. Please avoid heavy meals for approximately 2 hours before class.
• Stay well hydrated by drinking water before and after class. While drinking during class is allowed, it is generally not recommended unless necessary.
• If you have any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations, please inform the instructor before the class. This allows her to offer appropriate modifications and ensure a safe practice.
These simple steps help create a safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Yes — a yoga mat is required for outdoor classes.
For indoor classes, all necessary equipment is provided by the instructor for up to 10 students. However, if you prefer to use your own mat, you are very welcome to do so. We kindly ask that you inform the instructor in advance if you plan to bring your own mat.
A water bottle is optional. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
Shoes should be removed before entering the practice space and placed neatly to the side of the room, away from the mats.
We kindly ask that mobile phones be turned off or kept away during class. Yoga is an inward practice, and minimizing distractions helps create a focused and respectful environment for everyone.
If you are running late for a booked class, please notify us by phone or WhatsApp as soon as possible to let us know you are on your way.
During busy periods or when a class is waitlisted, East West Yoga reserves the right to release your spot to a walk-in student if you have not arrived on time. This decision is made at the discretion of our staff.
For safety reasons, students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to skip the class, as a full warm-up is essential for a safe and effective practice.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.
We understand that schedules can change. To help us manage classes fairly, please follow the guidelines below:
• For indoor classes, please provide at least 2 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend.
• For outdoor classes, at least 12 hours’ notice is required due to location and setup arrangements.
• Cancellations must be made via WhatsApp.(https://chat.whatsapp.com/GvRInSQzgw12aUYzsPz7oi?mode=gi_t)
If a student does not attend a class or cancels outside the required notice period:
• Package holders: The class will be deducted from your package.
• Single class bookings: The full drop-in class fee will be charged.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
For the safety and well-being of everyone, we kindly ask that you or your child do not attend class if experiencing symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, or fever within the past 24 hours.
If this applies to you, please inform us as soon as possible. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students.
Absolutely not. In fact, yoga is often most helpful when the body feels stiff.
Yoga classes don’t start with extreme poses like full splits or backbends. The purpose of yoga is not to perform advanced shapes, but to release tension, improve mobility, and support both physical and mental well-being. When the body softens, the mind often follows.
Yoga is a broad and adaptable practice. There are many styles, levels, and approaches — and every pose can be modified to suit individual needs. There is no “one-size-fits-all” in yoga, and flexibility is not a prerequisite.
If you can breathe, you can do yoga.
